Who Does the ZBA Bluetooth Media System Reach??
When we examine the smart phone marketplace, ZBA wants to ensure the percentage of cell phones we can reach with our Bluetooth Media System will continue to rise. Most people recognize that Apple iPhone does not have Bluetooth file transfer capability protocols (OBEX) to prevent individuals from moving purchased iTunes freely among users. However, iPhone only represents 17% of the marketplace for smart phones.
According to research firm IDC, Nokia has continued to lead the worldwide marketplace with a 37.9 percent market share in the third quarter of 2009. The next closest competitors are Research in Motion (RIM), makers of the Blackberry, with 19 percent market share and Apple with 17.1 percent based on worldwide shipment volumes. A key data indicator is that smart phones overall saw a 4.2 percent increase in shipments compared to the same period last year.
Analysts and marketers are clear on one thing: the demand for smart phones, regardless of who is making them, will continue to rise. The winners will be those with feature rich, easy to use smart phones.
Consider the data points as customers continue to migrate to smart phones.
Verizon has 87.7 million customers (no iPhone)
T-Mobile 33.4 million users (no iPhone)
Sprint 54 million users (no iPhone)
Now ask yourself – does the ZBA Bluetooth Media System reach enough potential customers??? You bet we do!!!
